JLB1658 | Flat Earth Theorists and the ‘Bending Light’ Problem

In this video I explain what the ‘bending light’ problem is and how it relates to the Flat Earth theory. Put simply, if it the case that light can bend in mediums such as earth’s atmosphere, then one of the most popular arguments put forward by Flat Earth theorists is instantly refuted. That is the ‘distant objects’ argument, which depends on the notion that light travels in straight lines. Once Flat Earth theorists accept that light does indeed bend, they must either accept that the ‘distant objects’ argument is refuted, OR alternatively hold on to two contradictory beliefs at the same time.
