Member Sesh SOON i.e. Saturday Oct 26
Hello friends,
This may be a little late notice but we’ll be having a Member Sesh tomorrow from 2pm Plovdiv time.
That’s midday UK time.
And 8pm Darwin time.
That might give you some idea as to who has already told me they’ll be there for this one.
These are the nominal start times, of course you are welcome to arrive later and if we’re still chatting, just join the audiochat room and join in.
The ‘Member Sesh’ format is a little different from the old Member Call format.
For example, the Member Sesh is meant to be more casual, more laid back, maybe a little more silly.
I’ll be using my soundboard and hopefully having a few laughs.
Also I record the Member Sesh with OBS rather than Discord, so editing is a PITA, therefore I don’t edit these as much.
They’re intended to be more free flowing, less like an actual podcast, if that makes sense.
The pilot episode was a few weeks ago:
Member Sesh #0 – Pilot (7-Sep-2024)
I listened back to this one the other day, it was a lot of fun, I hope that future episodes (including tomorrow) can live up to it.
As I explained back then, if a Member of this site wants to organise a Member Sesh, all they need to do is contact me and we can find a time that suits us both.
Then I can announce it to the rest of the Members of the site and if anybody else shows up for the call, awesome, but if not, at least I know there’ll be somebody there to bounce some ideas off.
The previous format, where I would set the call times ahead of schedule and hope that people turned up, was no longer working as well as it had in the past.
That’s why we’ve changed to this format and based on the pilot episode, I think it will serve myself, the Members, and the site better going forward.
Tomorrow’s nominal start time is obviously way too early for most Americans but, again, all you need to do is find a date and time that suits you and contact me.
We can arrange as many or as few of these Member Sesh as you like. It’s up to you.
I hope to see you tomorrow 🥂
In case you missed it
I was recently a guest on the UnderstandingConspiracy channel:
Paul (who runs the channel) has quite an audience.
The livestream saw close to 250 live viewers, and the archived upload on youtube is already well past 3k views and counting.
We covered a heap of topics including the History Hoax, the Golden Age of the youtube ‘truth movement’, AI, Flat Earth, Sync, and more.
Here’s what beloved Member of johnlebon dot com, AP from Darwin, had to say:
To be fair, I was in something of a hyperactive mood that night, but not sue to any powder.
Just good old fashioned sunlight, exercise, white-knuckling sobriety, two coffees in one day, and the excitement of a liveshow with a pretty decent audience.
Bad Dreams
According to the comment section, I laid my biggest (content creation) egg of the year this past week.
JLBA #117 – Bad Dreams and Buried Secrets (20-Oct-2024)
Only one comment so far (although to be fair, that one comment was terrific, thank you Crash6871).
Perhaps the JLB audience is simply fed up with all of the sync stuff.
Who could blame them?
The FDTRH series alone was 20 hours of content, and since then I have published several more multi-hour presentations focused on sync.
As we approach the end of 2024, maybe it has all gotten a little out of hand, and the interest isn’t there any more.
That would be a shame, because I’m not done yet.
Over the next week or two I have even more Trump -> Clown -> Warp Speed sync content to come.
Once the US election is all said and done, I’ll move on to the next thing.
For now, if you haven’t given it a look yet, I do recommend you check out Bad Dreams and Buried Secrets.
I spent a week putting it all together, and I have to say, despite the lack of commentary so far, I’m rather proud of this piece.
The Incurable Mind Virus?
It has been a while since I’ve made a youtube video where I’m on camera.
Main reason being, my webcam broke ages ago, so I have to use a separate camera and overlay it in editing if I want to be on screen.
For this one, though, I thought it was worth it:
Will Duffy (the dude behind the ‘Final Experiment’ expedition to Antarctica) has set a cat amongst the pigeons, and I’m loving every minute of it!
You can find my interview with Will Duffy from a month or so ago here:
Bonversations #54 – Will Duffy (30-Sep-2024)
for a couple of weeks, i was reluctant to even listen to the Duffy piece. despite being an avid listener, who wants to hear yet more rehashing for the umpteenth time of the urine drinker denying southern flights or David Weiss (insert issues)
truthers are not the terrain
but while the call was better than I thought it would be, Duffy dude thinks space is real, and that the moon is a place to land on and that humans landed on it, and i assume he also thinks Jesus Christ is his Lord and savior.
so in terms of ‘truth’ — i do wonder why there was zero pushback on him, while all of the heat was focused on the usual suspects.
the answer presumably is that it wasn’t the intent of the interaction, but all the same, he’s preaching nonsense to his congregation too.
so who is worse?
*now that i write this … i remember ‘Duffy’ beer being synonymous with The Simpsons / Homer
